LA Audio Show Day 1, Part 2

The Harbeth Super HL5 Plus to me represents the best of what I think of when I think of British Monitors, but they also have an alive sound.

Every time I hear the Harbeth M30.1, two things shock me; first how small they are and second how big they sound!

I have always wanted to like the Tocaro speakers and Crimson amps combination, but at other shows, they sounded fine but not quite what I was looking for. Today was the best I have heard them sound. I’ll be back to listen to them again.

This sign excited me. How often do you find a high-end store that’s been in business for 58 years?

The Paradigm Speakers were sounding a little harsh, but they were brand new. So, I hope for better by Sunday.

I had never heard of the Pietra speaker, but these are really impressive.

Why have I never had a pair of Meridian speakers? Every time I hear them I am so impressed!

What would an audio show be without some big Wilson Speakers, and at this show they were driven by T&A Electronics.

I went to three rooms with Ryan Speakers, and each room sounded very nice.

The Volti Speaker room was one of the two best I heard on day one. The other room was the Spatial and Red Wine room. Sorry, the pictures from that room will come tomorrow.

I have had a weakness for Denon turntables since my college days. This one was gorgeous.

The new little Vanatoo Model Zero Powered Speakers amazed me. I would have never believed you could just add a computer or smartphone and get this kind of sound for $359.
