Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2017, Day 1 Pictures – Part 1

Kevin Hayes chose the Tannoy Kingdom Royal MK II to pair with his VAC equipment at Rocky Mountain. I loved the sound!

The Piega speakers were driven by a pair of Air Tight monoblocks.

A beautiful rack featuring the Transrotor turntables with electronics by Solution and Accuphase providing the music for the Air Tight monoblocks.

Audio Research, Martin Logan, Clearaudio, AMG and DS Audio had a room that was very impressive.

Spatial Audio was debuting a brand new speaker. Clayton Shaw wasn’t in the room today, so I’ll get more info for the show reports. The application was by Vinnie Rossi and the cables were from Anticables.

XactAudio was showing off their equipment with Zu Audio speakers. I was especially impressed with their new line of turntables; the one in the system was the XactAudio XX Turntable.

The speakers, the SET amps and the preamp was all by Serious Audio.

DeVore Fidelity debuted their new gibbon Super Nine speakers. They were driven by a Sudgen Class A amp and the source was the beautiful Spec turntable.

See why I called it the beautiful Spec turntable. It is a string-drive with an EMT Banana tonearm on it.

Audio Physic Avantera speakers with the beautiful European Audio team turntable and phono preamp.

This is a shiny static display of Rowland electronics.

The Nagra / Wilson Room with a Kronus turntable was sounding nice indeed.

Raidho acoustics was showing their new, more affordable tower speaker.

This is a very interesting new upgrade to the classic Thorens 124 turntable, a new platter that just sits on top of the old platter but is decoupled from the old spindle.

Here’s what the new platter looks like on the table.

Stay tuned for more pictures from Day 1 later tonight!
