Setting up the 1100R, you can see two of the additional tonearm mounting boards.
The base is made of aircraft grade aluminum and a layer of polymer for damping. The platter adds three more layers of material for damping.

The SL-1200GEA motor is the smaller one. The SL-1100R is twice its size and power.
