Turntable Eye Candy from LA Audio Show, Part 2

A couple of days ago, I shared Part 1 of what I call “Turntable Eye Candy” from the LA Audio Show. So, here’s Part 2!

The Mag-Lev floating turntable seemed to be the must-see product of the whole show. You could even listen to it over headphones.

A much more significant must see in my opinion was the world premiere of the AJ  Conti Transcendence Turntable. I’m guessing this significance for me had a lot to do with this being the best sound I’ve ever heard from a pair of Vandersteen Sevens.

Speaking of debuts, here is the Grand Prix Audio Parabolica direct-drive turntable in all its carbon-fiber glory. The tonearm was from TriPlanar with a Lyra Etna cartridge.

The PBN’s DN308 direct-drive turntable, a restored professional Denon. I think most of the PBN turntables are beautiful.

Another PBN Grovemaster based on a different Denon direct-drive turntable.

Speaking of Denon direct drives, here is a vintage one. I actually like its looks best of all.

The Viridia by Helius Design Group with the Helius tonearm. It sounded very nice.

A classic Technics direct-drive turntable reborn.

The simplistic but beautiful looking Thales turntable. In reality, the engineering of the table and arm are anything but simplistic.

To me, this is the best looking turntable Well Tempered has ever made. The best news is that even though they cost nothing close to the most expensive turntables, their sound is not very far from the best. They are a very musical sounding turntable and tonearms.

Clearaudio’s Concept turntable is another great table for the money.

The Haniwa turntable wasn’t in the system, but it was looking good.

The big TW Acoustic Turntable on an SRA platform is always impressive looking and sounding.

The Analogueworks Two Turntable from Britain was very impressive.

Let’s end the eye candy with the beautiful Acoustic Signature turntable and tonearm.
