T.H.E. Show 2018 – Pictures from Day 2

In the Ryan Speaker Room, they were playing their new S610 speakers driven by a Pass Labs INT-250 Integrated Amplifier and wired with Clear Reflection cables. The source was a Small Green Computer SonicTransporter and a PS Audio Directstream DAC. The power conditioner was an Audioquest Nagara 5000.

Brian Ackerman’s Aaudio Imports room looked and sounded great. The beautiful blue carbon fiber speakers were from Wilson Benesch as well as the R1 Carbon modular rack. The electronics were from Ypsilon, the power distributor was from H.B. Cable Design and all of the cabling was from Stage III.

Here’s another automotive beauty that was on display. Now, this Rolls from the 40s says class in every single way!

In the Super Audio room, they were using a pair of JBL speakers to demo much of the full line of Melton Audio tube electronics, cable and power conditioning.

Warren Jarrett owns what he calls The Audio Home in Fullerton. He was using a TriangleArt Maestro turntable like I recently reviewed for the source. The electronics, speakers, and cables were all from Audio Note UK. The power conditioning was by either Audience or PS Audio, which gave us an interesting chance to compare the two different technologies. We are visiting Warren on Tuesday to see his home, which contains four separate audio systems. Look for an upcoming article on this visit.

I don’t smoke cigars, so this part of the show, like the facials, was not interesting to me, but the artwork at the cigar displays was nice.

Tom Vu of TriangeArt always has an outstanding room, For T.H.E. Show, he had both the Master Reference SE and the entry-level Concerto turntables. All the electronics and cables were also by TriangleArt, and the speakers were a $60,000 pair from Usher.

Scott Walker Audio, Orange County’s premier high-end audio dealer, had four rooms on the second floor. This one featured the new entry-level Magico A3 speakers sounding the best I have heard yet. The electronics were from VAC, the turntable was the Acoustic Signature MK3, all of the cables, power treatment and room treatment were from Synergistic Research. The digital source was from Sony and Artesania.
