Here are a few pictures from the larger rooms at AXPONA. Please note the lighting conditions in these rooms were not optimal and made it difficult to get really good photographs. Hopefully, you will still get a feel for what was on display.
PS Audio debuted their AN3 Loudspeaker (named for the late Arnie Nudell, co-founder of Infinity and mentor to PS Audio’s Paul McGowan). They were driving them with their PS Audio BHK electronics.
The Sonus Farber AIDA speakers were driven by the MacIntosh MC1.25KW monoblocks.
The Von Schweikert Audio Ultra 9 speakers combined with the Valve Audio Company (VAC) Statement 450i iQ amplifier for some impressive sound. The TechDAS Air Force turntable was the source when we were listening.
Daedalus Audio was true to their slogan, Elegant Reference Loudspeakers, with these Apollo11s in a figured baked maple finish. The room also included a VAC Signature SE Preamplifier and the Signature 200iQ Power Amp. The Lampizator Golden Gate 2 and Super Kompture music server were the source. WyWires cables completed this system.
The Nirvana B Room featured Credo loudspeakers from Audio Switzerland with electronics and the digital source from EMM. The turntable is the VPI 40th Anniversary Direct Drive.
The Scaena Model 3 Iso-Linear Array loudspeakers have been called some of the sexiest speakers on the planet. They certainly make a statement.
The Audio Company showed off the Von Schweikert Ultra 11 loudspeakers driven by VAC reference electronics.
Legacy Audio’s The V High-Performance loudspeakers were making an impression in one of the larger rooms.
Here’s a picture of the Focal Utopia Grande Utopia EM-EVO loudspeakers. All other gear in the room was also from Focal.
This Vandersteen room with Vandersteen loudspeakers and their System Nine Speakers and Vandersteen amplification with Channel D for the digital source.
In the KEF room, they were showing their Muon Ultra Modern HiFi loudspeakers at a show for the first time in many years. They also had their smaller Reference 5 Ultimate Floorstanding loudspeakers in the room.
