The Sonoma Acoustics Model One is a revolutionary new electrostatic headphone system specifically developed and optimized to reproduce today’s high-quality high-resolution recordings with stunning clarity and unprecedented sound quality.

The Sonoma Model One is the world’s first headphone to use a High-Precision Electrostatic Laminate Transducer. This patented electrostatic technology has produced a driver that is lighter, more consistent and more durable than any previous electrostatic, resulting in very high resolution and breathtaking transparency.
Sonoma processes all signals using powerful custom 64-bit precision arithmetic. By using 64-bit technology Sonoma is able to achieve a very accurate frequency response with no noise or loss of fidelity, extended dynamic range, perfect left/right matching, and no distortion throughout the entire range of listening volume.
The Model One starts with the finest Cabretta sheepskin leather, known for its lightweight, durability, and softness then adds light-weight magnesium ear-cups, rather than the usual aluminum. The light-weight magnesium enhances comfort while also providing a better seal for improved bass performance and better RFI/EMI shielding for a cleaner sound.
The Model One comes comp lee with headphones, amp/dac, and all connecting cables and retails for $4,995 US or $6,495 Canadian.
In addition to its patented electrostatic drivers, the Model One features: reference-class dual DAC technology, a high-performance, wide-bandwidth, low distortion Class A amplifier, 64-bit custom DSP and even custom cables co-developed with Straight Wire.
