Regrettably, Becky and I couldn’t make it to the Capital Audiofest this year, but we are hoping to be there next year. We asked some of the exhibitors to send us pictures of their systems to share online. Please check back in the next few days as we will continue to add to this post as we get more photos. Of course, we can’t comment on the sound since we didn’t hear the systems.
The Audio Company – Von Schweikert Audio, VAC, MasterBuilt Audio, Esoteric, and Kronos
Taking center stage so to speak in The Audio Company’s room are the beautiful Von Schweikert Audio Ultra Nine Loudspeakers for $200,000 and the VAC Statement 450i iQ Integrated Amp for $150,000. If you are at CAF, don’t miss the opportunity to hear this system. We heard it at RMAF, and these products play very nicely with one another, to say the least. Click on the image above for a short video tour of the room from Damon Von Schweikert.
Don’t you just love the red! It so reminds me of a luxury sports car, say a red Maserati for example. Here’s a list below of all of the equipment in the room. Thanks again, Damon, for the photos and the video!
Well Pleased Audio: QLN and Innuos
Mark Sosa of Well Pleased A/V was using the QLN Prestige 3 speakers with a source from Innuos and Aqua Acoustic. Amplification is from Qualiton and Linnenberg, power conditioning from Gigawatt and cables from Swiss Cables.
Old Forge Audio
This is a system that I would have loved to have heard. I was impressed with David Cope’s Old Forge room at RMAF 2018. David was the importer for Audio Note for years, and now he is the owner and founder of Old Forge Studio and Audio. With the addition of the monoblocks and the Acapella La Campanella II speakers, I bet it sounded great. I love those speakers. The equipment in the room is listed below.
TriangleArt
Two turntables are pictured in the TriangleArt room, the TriangleArt Maestro turntable for $7,500 that I reviewed earlier this year and a TriangleArt Master Reference turntable system at $39,999. They were using their Osiris MK II tonearms for $6,890 and the Apollo cartridges at $8,000 each. The electronics were the TriangleArt Reference Tube Phono stage for $12,998 and the TriangleArt Reference Tube preamp at $18,998. The amps were the TriangleArt TA 200M pure class A monoblocks, $73,000 for the pair. The cables were the TriangleArt Rhea Reference cable system. The speakers in the system were the Muraudio SP-1s electrostatic speakers.
Spatial Audio, LTA and ANTICABLES
Spatial Audio is teaming up with Linear Tube Audio for this room at CAF. Pictured are the Spatial Audio M3 Triode Masters speakers, LTA’s new MicroZOTL Preamplifier and Ultralinear power amplifier. ANTICABLES supplied all cables, power cords, etc. The source was the DAC Chord Too Cute.
Fern & Roby and LTA
Another room paired LTA’s brand new Integrated Z10 power amplifier with Fern & Roby’s Montrose turntable and their brand new Raven Loudspeakers.
That’s it for now, but please send us your pictures (becky@theaudiobeatnik.com or jack@theaudiobeatnik.com. We will be happy to run them on our website. And, hopefully, we will see you at CAF next year. We’re putting it on our calendar for sure!
