At RMAF 2019 High End by Oz and United Home Audio shared a room where they debuted in the U.S. the AudioSolutions Virtuoso M loudspeakers selling for $32,000 per pair. They were also debuting in the U.S. the Vitus Audio SIA-030 30W Class-A/200W Class-AB integrated amplifier for $40,000. The SIA-030 30W made its first appearance in Munich earlier this year. Hans-Ole Vitus, Chief Designer and Owner of Vitus Audio, made the trip from Denmark to Denver for the show.
The rest of the system included the Vitus Audio’s SCD-025 MKII CD player/DAC for $25,200 and United Home Audio’s Ultima 4 OPS-DC reel to reel tape deck at $30,000. The cables were from Ansuz Acoustics.
The UHA Ultima4 OPS-DC tape deck has an outboard DC power supply. Like every UHA tape deck, it uses a DC motor for increased reliability and stable speed. Now, with the addition of outboard power, everything inside the Ultima4 box operates on DC power. In this unique design, the AC power goes into the power supply, and only DC power is sent to the tape deck.
