On a Higher Note

On a Higher Note’s room featured Gryphon products, including the debut of the Ethos Compact Disc Player. The speakers were the Trident II’s. All of the amplification and cables were by Gryphon.

Innuos/Nagra/YG Acoustics

This is one of two rooms for Innuos on this floor, and it featured the YG Acoustics Hailey loudspeakers pictured here. They were driven by all Nagra electronics. Sources were an Innuos Statement Music Server with a Nagra DAC and a Nagra’s professional reel-to-reel player. Cables were by Transparent Audio.

MBL North America

This room featured the MBL Radialstrahter loudspeakers with their electronics and cables. These speakers always make an impression, but we hadn’t seen them in black in a long time.

Wolf Audio Systems

The Rockport Technologies Atria II loudspeakers were the stars in this room with an Acoustic Arts phono stage and a Chorale integrated amplifier with optional DAC and phono cards. Tein Audio debuted their TT5 Turntable in the US with a Viroa Aurora tonearm. Also debuting was the Van den Hul Crimson Black cartridge.They also used Viola Audio Labs electronics with Stillpoints rack and isolation devices.

Magnan Cables

This was the world premier for the EAR Phono Box. The EAR V12 integrated amplifier completed the electronics in this room. Sources included the EAR Acute Classic CD Player and the Merrill-Williams 101.3 turntable with a Helius Omega Standard tonearm with a Koetsu Rosewood phono cartridge and a Roon Nucleus Phono Server. The Marten Django L loudspeakers provided the sound. All cables were by Magnan.

Gershman Acoustics

Gershman Acoustics was playing their Grand Studio speakers pictured here and their Grand Avant Garde speakers (not pictured). Amplification was via a VAC Statement 450S iQ dual mono amp with a VAC Master Preamp with internal phono option. The source was an Oracle turntable. Cables were by Nordost.

Pure Audio Project

In their room, they were showing a new look for their TRIO 15 Classic loudspeakers. They were driving them with Pass Labs XA160.8 monoblocks and a Pass Labs preamp. The source was a VPI Prime turntable with a VPI phonostage.

Lone Star Audio

Lone Star Audio was showing a room full of brand new products from T+A Elektroikust. The speakers were the Solitaire CWT 1000-40 carbon fiber loudspeakers. They were driven by a pair of their M40 hybrid monoblocks. The source was a SDV 3100 HB DAC with preamp with a PDT 3100 HB transport.

American Sound Audio

This room featured the big, beautiful DUO MEZZO XD loudspeakers with Transparent Audio Cables. The source and electronics were from Esoteric Audio.

GTT Audio

YG Acoustics’ brand new Vantage loudspeakers were debuting in this room driven by the Audionet Stern preamp and Audionet Heisenberg mono amps. The source was a Kronos Pro Turntable with a Kronos Black Beauty Tonearm and an Air Tight Opus 1 Cartridge. Kronos also provided their SCPS 1 Power Supply, Reference Phono, and umbilical cables. There was also a Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC and Auralic Aries G2 Streamer. All cables were by Kubala.

Nagra Audio – Musical Artisans

The Kharma Elegance 57 Loudspeakers were sounding sweet with the Nagra HD preamp, Tube DAC, VPS Phono Preamplifier, and a pair of their Classic Amps. Nagra also has the IV-S/QGB Open Reel and the Nagra Seven Recorder in the system. All cables were from Organic Reference.
